xAI ships Agent Dashboard for Grok Build to manage parallel AI coding sessions

xAI has released an Agent Dashboard for Grok Build, a terminal-based interface that shows every active coding session on a single screen, the company said on June 15, 2026. The tool is built for running and tracking multiple AI coding sessions in parallel.

The dashboard sorts sessions by state: those waiting for user input rise to the top, active sessions show a spinner, and idle sessions sit below. It nests sub-agents under the parent session that spawned them, keeping that fan-out out of the top-level view. Developers can peek at a session's latest output without leaving the dashboard, reply from that view and queue commands, according to xAI. The dashboard opens by running "grok dashboard" from a shell or pressing /dashboard inside any session.

Grok Build, xAI's agentic coding tool, was first introduced publicly in mid-May 2026. xAI positioned the dashboard as a direct competitor to Anthropic's Claude Code and similar agentic developer tools — a framing from xAI rather than an independent market assessment.

xAI did not release adoption figures for Grok Build, so how the dashboard and the broader tool stack up against rival coding agents in the developer market cannot yet be measured.
