CTech reports that cloud-security company Upwind raised about $300 million at a valuation of roughly $3.8 billion. Bessemer Venture Partners and TCV are leading the round, according to the report.

The reported round would hand Upwind substantial new capital as it competes to secure cloud infrastructure and AI workloads, and it would more than double the valuation reported after the company’s $250 million Series B in January.

Upwind said that January round brought its total investment to more than $430 million. That announcement did not disclose a valuation; CTech later put the figure at about $1.5 billion.

CTech identified Craft Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, Greylock, Cyberstarts, Leaders Fund and Alta Park Capital as participants in the new financing. No company announcement or regulatory filing in the reviewed evidence independently confirms the amount, valuation, closing status or full investor roster, and the evidence does not establish whether the reported valuation is pre-money or post-money.

The round follows Upwind’s expansion from cloud security into products marketed for AI systems. The company says its platform uses runtime context—information collected while workloads are operating—to help teams prioritize vulnerabilities and threats. In May, Upwind introduced an AI Security Platform that it said could observe, protect and validate AI workloads. Those descriptions are the company’s own product claims, not independent performance findings.

Bessemer has framed runtime visibility as a way to identify exploitable paths in dynamic cloud and container environments. That investment rationale sets out why the firm backs Upwind, but it does not independently confirm the newly reported financing terms or establish a market-wide demand trend. DataPhoenix reported on another Bessemer-led security round, Onyx Security’s $113 million Series B.

Upwind was founded in 2022 by Amiram Shachar and former Spot.io colleagues Liran Polak, Lavi Ferdman and Tal Zuri, according to CTech.
