Kore.ai and Atos partner to sell governed agentic AI to regulated UK sectors

Kore.ai and Atos UK&I said on July 8, 2026 that they are partnering to deliver governed, production-ready AI agents to regulated UK organizations in finance, healthcare, defence and critical national infrastructure.

The deal pairs each side’s technology, Kore.ai said in its announcement. Kore.ai brings its new Artemis agent platform, which includes an Agent Blueprint Language for defining agents and a reasoning-plus-deterministic-control design the company calls Dual Brain. Atos supplies its Sovereign Agentic Studio, the production infrastructure and governance framework meant to keep those agents auditable and compliant.

The target is the gap regulated buyers keep running into: pilots that work in a demo but cannot clear the security, data-residency and oversight bars needed to run in production. Defence and critical national infrastructure raise those bars further, which is why ‘sovereign’ and ‘governed’ do the selling here rather than raw model capability.

Raj Koneru, Kore.ai’s chief executive, said the next phase of enterprise AI ‘will not be defined by individual agents, but by governed systems of intelligence operating reliably at scale.’ Atos UK&I head of technology Mike Hill said the Sovereign Agentic Studio ‘was built to turn AI ambition into operational reality and safely at scale.’

The announcement is a go-to-market alliance, not a disclosed customer win. Neither company named a deployment, a contract value or a launch customer, and the governance and ‘production-ready’ claims are the partners’ own. In regulated sectors, procurement and accreditation cycles are long, so signed pilots are the real test.

Whether the pair names a first UK deployment will show if the partnership converts into revenue or stays an announcement.
