CES 2025: Delta announced a new AI-powered assistant is coming to its app

Delta, a company whose impactful keynotes become an integral part of CES since the last few years, did not disappoint in the 2025 iteration of the event. In a keynote featuring a monologue by award-winning actress Viola Davis, a performance by Lenny Kravitz, and a selection of immersive experiences, Delta shared some of its plans for the future of travel, including the launch of Delta Concierge, an AI-powered digital assistant that will integrate into the company's Fly Delta app this year.

Travelers will be able to interact with Delta Concierge via voice or text to receive contextual guidance and automated assistance. Expectedly, Delta Concierge was primarily designed to streamline travelers' airport experience. The AI-powered assistant will send notifications with reminders such as boarding times and gate numbers, and will also offer way finding assistance, so users can easily reach baggage drop areas, Delta Sky Clubs, and gates.

Additional planned features will allow Delta Concierge to proactively notify passengers about passport expiration dates, visa requirements, and weather conditions at their destination to help with travel preparation. Further updates will enable automatic connections to Delta Sync Wi-Fi and the airline's personalized in-flight entertainment system.

"Our vision for Delta Concierge is that it will serve as an AI-powered personal assistant that combines the context of who our customers are and how they like to travel, with the deep knowledge and insights we've built as the world's most reliable airline," said Delta CEO Ed Bastian during the announcement at CES 2025.
