Act Security, a Tel Aviv-based cloud security startup built by the team behind Medigate, emerged from stealth on July 28, 2026 with $60 million in total funding.

The founders previously built Medigate, a healthcare device-security company that Claroty acquired for about $400 million, and that track record helped the new venture raise quickly. Act took a $20 million seed round led by Team8 and Bessemer Venture Partners, with Hetz Ventures and Claltech participating, then added a $40 million Series A led by Notable Capital, with Startpoint Capital and SVCI, about four months later.

Act’s pitch targets a problem the AI-agent boom is making worse: access sprawl. Its platform analyzes identity, network and AI access together and enforces tightly scoped boundaries for employees, workloads and AI agents, so each can reach only the resources a specific task requires. The aim is to shrink the exploitable attack surface up front rather than patch vulnerabilities after a breach.

Autonomous AI agents that act with standing credentials are precisely the kind of over-permissioned identity Act says it wants to contain, a threat model that barely existed when Medigate launched.

The company has not disclosed customers, pricing or independent proof that the platform reduces breaches, and unifying identity and network access is a crowded field. A funded launch is a starting line, not traction.

Whether Act names paying enterprise customers in the coming quarters will show if the platform is more than a well-backed pitch.
