SailPoint agrees to acquire Entro Security to extend identity controls to AI agents

SailPoint Technologies Inc. on June 15, 2026 announced its intent to acquire Entro Security Ltd., a Tel Aviv-based startup whose platform automatically inventories AI agents on a company's network and secures AI-agent and other non-human identities.

The acquisition pushes one of the largest identity-security vendors deeper into a problem enterprises are only beginning to confront: who, or what, an AI agent is allowed to access. SailPoint launched its Agentic Fabric product in March 2026 to extend access controls to AI agents, and the company said the Entro deal accelerates that roadmap.

SailPoint did not officially disclose financial terms. The deal value has been reported at approximately $200M, a figure SailPoint has not confirmed and that is not independently verified. Entro had raised about $24M in prior funding, by external accounts.

In its announcement, SailPoint said the transaction is expected to close in its fiscal third quarter of 2027, subject to customary closing conditions. It did not detail how Entro's technology and team will be integrated, or whether the product will remain available on its own.

The deal lands as vendors race to govern machine identities that now outnumber human ones in many enterprises. Folding Entro's agent discovery into Agentic Fabric is the capability SailPoint said it is buying.
