OpenAI names Wiz veteran Dali Rajic as chief revenue officer amid executive reshuffle
OpenAI named Dali Rajic, former president and COO of Wiz, as chief revenue officer on August 13, replacing Denise Dresser after less than nine months.
OpenAI named Dali Rajic, previously president and chief operating officer of cybersecurity company Wiz, as its new chief revenue officer effective August 13, 2026. He replaces Denise Dresser, who is leaving after less than nine months in the role.
It is OpenAI’s second CRO change in under a year, and the latest move in an executive reshuffle at a company under pressure to convert enormous usage into revenue. OpenAI has passed one billion weekly active users, but executives have said it has fallen short of its revenue targets, and the company has confidentially filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ahead of a potential initial public offering.
Rajic arrives from Wiz, which Google agreed to buy for $32 billion earlier in 2026, and previously served as president and COO of Zscaler and chief customer and revenue officer at AppDynamics — a resume built on scaling enterprise sales. OpenAI framed the appointment as part of building out its go-to-market leadership, according to its announcement.
The churn extends beyond the revenue seat. COO Brad Lightcap and Fidji Simo, OpenAI’s chief executive of AGI deployment, have both departed, with co-founder and president Greg Brockman taking on expanded management duties.
Handing the revenue job to an enterprise-sales operator signals where OpenAI thinks its next dollars are: corporate contracts, not consumer subscriptions. The test is whether Rajic lasts longer than his predecessor and closes the gap between OpenAI’s user base and its income before any public listing.
